Common localities of the Reticulated Python.
This locality is typically found on the island of the same name, although, animals from Ceram and Buru have also been exported under this locality name. The main factors to look for in this locality are a bright lemon yellow head and throat along with an overall body coloration quite light in appearance.
Found on the island of the same name, just off the eastern coast of Java, this locality is renowned for 2 main factors. Firstly, this island has a large population of “yellow headed” specimens.
Secondly, although not a true dwarf this locality does not reach the sizes that other localities are able to attain.
Identification is based on the yellow head and throat, thick black reticulations and crisp split at the top of the flanks, between the dorsal brown coloration and the silver that runs along the main flanks.
